English Profs Edit Literary Anthology
November 21, 2016
Titled “Texas Weather,” the anthology includes the works of more than 50 authors on the power and beauty of the weather in the Lone Star State. It celebrates with intimate detail and incredible scope why Texans are fascinated with, wary of, confounded by, and thankful for their weather.
The 198-page volume also includes an introduction by Clay Reynolds, professor of arts and humanities and director of creative writing at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Dalrymple is a professor of English and holds the John S. Cargile University Professorship. He published a book of short fiction in 2015, titled “Love Stories (Sort Of),” through Lamar University Literary Press. His other works of fiction include “Salvation,” a short story collection; “Fishing for Trouble,” a novel for middle readers; and “Texas 5X5: Twenty-Five Stories by Five Texas Writers,” which he co-authored. His stories have been published in dozens of journals and anthologies, and he is the editor of “Texas Soundtrack: Texas Stories Inspired by Texas Music.”
“Texas Weather” is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Lamar University Literary Press and other online booksellers.
