ASU OneCard

In order to utilize ASU Library Services such as checking out materials, interlibrary loan, E-Reserves, etc, you must have an activated ASU OneCard. Currently enrolled students can obtain a card without being present on campus by contacting the ASU OneCard office. Once you have received your card you must activate it by going to and following the directions on the screen.

Technology Access Account

In order to access most online services at ASU you must have a Technology Access Account. This includes the online databases and periodicals that the Library subscribes to. A Technology Access Account is provided by the ASU Department of Information Technology, not the Library!
Once you have registered AND have received your CID (Campus Identification Number), e-mail the Technology Service Center at to obtain a Technology Access Account Agreement.
For more information about the Technology Access Account see the Technology Access Account page.

Search 75 of our most popular databases simultaneously! The search will return links to full-text articles and e-books, as well as citations, abstracts, and catalog entries in RamCat of print and digital materials the library owns. You can find U-Search here.

Research Guides are lists of high-quality online and print research materials. They are curated by librarians and are arranged by subject and by course. They are each divided into six areas: reference, books, databases, news, websites, and videos. Find them online, 24/7 — either from the Library homepage or the Research Guides homepage.

AskAcademic is a chat and text reference service available 24/7. This service utilizes librarians employed at academic institutions to assist students online with their research needs. It provides a valuable option for distance learning students, “digital natives,” and students needing assistance at times when the ASU Library Research Assistance Desk is not staffed. However, it should be noted that AskAcademic librarians do not always have the same level of expertise or access to ASU databases that local librarians do.

JavaScript disabled or chat unavailable.

Books will be mailed to Distance Education students via insured mail, with a postage paid insured return envelope. These materials MUST be returned by the due date or are subject to fines and/or charges for loss. Articles owned by the Library will be scanned and placed on an ASU computer server, and Distance Education students will be able to access these items via the internet with a PIN which will be provided via e-mail. Library Tutorials

These tutorials may be accessed from the Tutorials page. Additionally, faculty may sign their classes up for the Information Literacy course on Blackboard by clicking this link.
